Our Team

J. Terry Swaim, Principal, Community Wealth Management Inc. was born and raised in Gwinnett County where he now works and lives. A graduate of Duluth High School, Terry attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina on a football scholarship. He graduated from Wofford College in 1997 with a degree in Business/Economics.Terry has spent his entire working life since graduation in financial services.

His career began in 1997 with John Hancock Financial Services and in 2000 moved back to Atlanta to run a new division of the Dempsey Companies in Buckhead. While with these firms,Terry earned many industry and company awards for his work with his clients.

In May of 2003, Terry began his practice with Investment Professionals, Inc. located at Gwinnett Community Bank. In August of 2007, Terry founded Community Wealth Management Inc. He is a Registered Representative of INVEST Financial Corporation. He carries the Series 6, 7, 24, 63, and 65, securities licenses and is registered for his life, variable, accident & sickness insurance license. Terry helps individuals and business owners  implement investment and financial solutions for a number of needs including wealth management, retirement planning, business succession, and estate planning. Terry enjoys spending his free time with his beautiful wife Heather, and daughter Samantha. He also enjoys reading, hunting, and donating his time/resources to several causes in the local community. He is the past president of his Civitan Club and is a member of the Gwinnett Rotary and Duluth First United Methodist Church. Terry & his family make their home in Auburn with their dog Dakota.

 Amanda Jackson, Client Service Specialist, was born in Duluth, GA and moved to Grayson, GA in 2002 where she attended Grayson High School. Amanda graduated from GHS in 2006 and attended Georgia Perimeter College by fall the same year. She graduated from GPC in 2009 with an Associate's degree in General Studies. Amanda started working as a part time Sales Assistant with Terry Swaim and Community Wealth Management in September of 2007. In January of 2009, she began working full time as the Client Service Specialist and is currently working on obtaining her Series 6 License and is an associated person of INVEST.
